Simra Substation, located in the Bara district's Narayani zone, supplies power to Jitpur, Simra, Dumarwana, and Narwasti. Through a T-connection, Simra Substation receives electricity from the Hetauda - Birgurj 66kV Double Circuit line. Simra Substation was built in 1972 and has a capacity of 66/11kV and 1.5MVA. The previous 1.5MVA Transformer was replaced in 1993 by a 66/11kV, 6MVA Transformer. Following that, in 1995, the Substation was renovated with the inclusion of a 66/11kV, 7.5 MVA Transformer. A new transformer bay with a 66/11kV, 6.3MVA transformer was added in 2007. The previous 7.5MVA and 63 MVA transformers were replaced in 2016 with two 15MVA transformers. Since 2015, the 6MVA Transformer has been out of operation.
